Hello gentle-people,
Before I get into it—I am preaching this weekend! Send prayers and good vibes my way, if you do that kinda thing.
I am taking a bit of a publication break…I have had a couple of months of prolific writing. It was a joy to share…I am taking a break to find more joy in sharing and to write for me for a bit. But we can still hang:
Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: “Stay Sensitive” —a place to testify to what is moving us and to bear witness to how we are moving.
I am interested in the ordinary and the mundane.1 At the end of last year, I wrote a little blessing via a post reflecting on what it means to “stay sensitive.” I need reminders all the time…that I am in a body, that bodies surround me filled with their own experiences of pain and pleasure…We must stay sensitive, which can often call us to effort—but I think it’s worthwhile.
If you feel the same, join me in the chat…it’s free.2
Here’s what it looks like:
How to get started
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
If you’ve been here, you know this by now, right?
I am considering a space for paid subscribers…still dreaming about what that looks like and considering my capacity. So let’s start here!
What a beautiful and profound way to utilize this chat function that I mostly find annoying and distracting! Thank you for creating this space for conversation!
What a wonderful idea, keeping sensitive to ourselves and those around us <3
