How do you cherish the garden of your dreams? How do you defend their roots from rot, what affirmations make up the nutrients you feed them to grow stronger and bare fruit?
Love a plant metaphor - I killed all my plants so can't relate, but love it still.
I write them down. I talk about them, either to myself using the voice memos app, with my therapist or a friend/family member. I have learned I need something tangible outside myself (a journal, voice recording, human) that I can come back to, to remind me about my dreams - this keeps me grounded, excited and motivated about them. I have also learned that not everyone in my community can support me in this regard - so I've had to exercise discernment when choosing who I share with, and the level of detail I share too. I get it wrong sometimes, I'm still learning how to tend to my dreams.
